LIGNO-SPREAD, THE CHALLENGE IN TERMS OF THE CLIMATE CHANGE

The LIGNO-SPREAD project pursues the main target to upgrade the lignin that is present in black liqueurs of the paper sector to transform it into new competitive and environmentally sustainable products.
Via the present project there will be realized the stage development of extraction, purification and derivatization of the lignin to be able to be used for the elaboration of new product

  • Flocculants for the sector of water treatment.
  • Detergents and surface cleaners for the sector of hygienics and cleansing.
  • Isolating panels in the construction sector.
  • Polyurethane foams for fillings in the automotive sector.
  • Stabilizers for silvicultural soils in the construction sector.

Therefore the LIGNO-SPREAD project counts on a consortium formed of six Galician companies: ENCE Energía y Celulosa (project leader), CANARGA S.L., CUPA Innovación, Centro Technológico Grupo Copo (CETEC), KEMEGAK químicos S.L. and ARTEIXO QUÍMICA.
LIGNO-SPREAD is part of the framework of the Action Challenge in terms of the climate change and efficience within the use of ressources and raw materials of The call FEDER INTERCONNECTA 2015 (cofinanced by the European Fond of Regional Development). It’s a project that was subsidized by CDTI and is supported by the Ministry for Economy and Competition.
