OXYBARRIER Project

New Synthesis Pathways for Sustainable polyurethanes with barrier properties

The main objective of the project is to develop a new synthesis process for water-based polyurethanes, intended for use in coating formulations for applications requiring oxygen barrier properties.

The project is being carried out at CROMOGENIA’s facilities over a period of two years, from June 2023 to July 2025, with a total budget of €563,260.

The project has been co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF 2021–2027) and the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI), with the support of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (IDI-20230812).
