Held annually in Hong Kong, this event comprises three co-located fairs \u2013 APLF Leather, Materials+ and Fashion Access \u2013 that bring together tanneries, material innovators, manufacturers, and global brands.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"750\" data-end=\"1041\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Presenting Cromogenia\u2019s latest leather innovations<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>At its stand, Cromogenia Units presented a selection of its most innovative solutions for leather processing, focusing on technologies designed to improve performance, quality and sustainability throughout the tanning process.<\/p>\n<p>Among the highlights was the <strong>Low Bisphenol Range<\/strong>, which includes products with very low or zero bisphenol content, developed to meet the increasing demand for safer and more environmentally responsible leather chemicals. This range includes solutions such as <strong>RETANAL X5G<\/strong>, a very low bisphenol phenolic syntan, and <strong>RETANAL XDW<\/strong>, a low-bisphenol sulphone, as well as the <strong>XL Range<\/strong>, an innovative line of bisphenol-free products with a high biomass content.<\/p>\n<p>Visitors also showed strong interest in <strong>UNIX UP<\/strong>, a fatliquoring polymer designed to balance softness and tightness in leather while achieving lightweight materials, excellent fastness properties and low odor performance.<\/p>\n<p>Another key product presented was <strong>RETANAL ZR<\/strong>, a biodegradable zeolite-based tanning solution that enables chrome-free and aldehyde-free processes, supporting the development of more sustainable leather articles.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Cromogenia introduced <strong>RETANAL TRW<\/strong>, a natural tanning agent that provides leather with fullness and firmness while offering high resistance to light and temperature. This solution is particularly suitable for <strong>white or pastel-colored leather articles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The company also showcased its portfolio of <strong>finishing solutions<\/strong>, designed to achieve high-performance leather surfaces across a wide range of applications.<\/p>\n<p>These solutions include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Shine polyurethanes<\/strong> for glossy finishes<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dull polyurethanes<\/strong> for matte effects<\/li>\n<li><strong>Isocyanate crosslinkers<\/strong> to enhance coating resistance<\/li>\n<li><strong>Low-toxicity polymeric polyaziridine crosslinkers<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Acrylic resins<\/strong> for specialized finishing requirements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Together, these technologies enable manufacturers to obtain high-quality leather finishes while improving process efficiency and sustainability.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Taking place from the 12th\u00a0to the 14th\u00a0of March 2026,\u00a0APLF is one of the world\u2019s leading trade platforms for the leather and fashion materials industries.
